The CUPS COMMETH...In speaking with Andrew Gordon this past week, he is not sure yet when he and Andrew Joudrey will have the Calder Cup here but he mentioned that he would like to bring it into the Subway Team Room for a show and tell and a few pictures. Sidney Crosby and family are also making plans for their chance to share the cup with Nova Scotia and our community although as you can imagine it is a large task to put it all together. It is shaping up to be an exciting off-season!
The HNS High Performance Programs and Team Atlantic Camps are just around the corner in the month of July. Good luck to all Subway Hockey prospects and performers and remember to play hard and honest on the ice and carry yourself very well off of it!
SUNDAY NIGHT Ice starts on July 5 at the Dartmouth Sportsplex from 9-1030pm. It will consist of about 30-40 minutes of high tempo drills and the rest will be scrimmage. This is open to any Major Midget and Junior prospects. The cost is $15 per session to be paid upon arrival.
SUBWAY Hockey - Jeff Smith Memorial Golf Tournament is just over two weeks away! 30 Teams are registered again this year for the bragging rights of winning the SUBWAY Cup and supporting our team and scholarship program in honor of Jeff Smith. More info coming this week!
The SUMMER CONDITIONING PROGRAM is going great and the players are working hard at developing their fitness levels. With 12 sessions behind us we are observing growth in the players and witnessing leadership through effort, enthusiasm, and a hunger to be the best! A member of our staff has been at each session and is quietly observing as well as taking time to communicate with the athletes as they challenge themselves and each other to improve.
